About Our Church

Zion Lutheran
Church History

The beginning of Zion Lutheran Church can be traced back to the influx of German immigrants into the Manchester area in the late 19th Century.

In March 1893 a serious division took place regarding secret oath-bound organizations.

Despite this set back the Church building was dedicated on July 9, 1893.

Keeping
the Faith

Zion is here today because the faith has been kept alive and passed on through many generations.

Like a city on a hill, Zion has shined brightly the message of God's love.

While many things have changed in the world since the formation of Zion, the message of the Gospel has remained the same.

Spiritual
Community

Zion is a family sized church and at the same time is warm and open to visitors and new members from the community.

Zion is seen as the best little church in Manchester for it's spiritual and human connection among the people.

Zion is a place to celebrate the love of God in a world that is hurting.
